Hello, everybody! I’ve been working on some new Twilight stuff, to keep me from becoming too impatient while waiting for the movie. The latest: Silver plated, beaded bookmarks, with a gorgeous blood-red foil-lined heart charm!

The bookmarks feature a pair of blood-red droplet beads, finished with that especially pretty heart charm. The foil inside the glass gives it extra depth and interest!

I have given several of these bookmarks to friends, and they love them! They will make wonderful little stocking stuffers or inexpensive gifts for Twilight lovers ($7.50 US + shipping).

Hello everyone! Here is a project I worked on this weekend. It combines my love of making jewelry with my love of origami. (Some of you may not know that I am half Japanese, and I love making crafty things.) I really love the florals, swirls, and geometric patterns on traditional origami paper, and I thought it would be great to make it wearable. So…

Ta-da! It’s an origami paper pendant. I made it by cutting out the most interesting and beautiful bit of a piece of origami paper, set it inside a sterling silver bezel cup, and covered it with a crystal clear epoxy resin. What do you think? Super kawaii, right? Kind of like wearing origami, but much more durable. It’s even waterproof!

Well, it may be too late to get this pretty pendant for Valentine’s Day, but you don’t need a holiday to shower affection upon your favorite geek, right?

These unusual pendants are made from quartz crystals embedded with color-cycling LED lights. You can choose your preferred shape, and give your sweetie a luminous, wearable symbol of your heart light. Anyone else thinking E.T.? Sorry…

In honor of the upcoming scholarly holiday, I am highlighting a fun shirt from my shop. Yes, self-promotion time. Plus, I think this is a very cool shirt. I guess that might tell you something about how un-cool I am.

The “I LOVE PI” shirt expresses my nerdy tendencies and punny sense of humor (I know, it’s so funny, you forgot to laugh) in a geek chic fashion statement. If this kind of thing appeals to you, go check it out. Remember, pi day is 3.14. That’s March 14, get it? Right on!

This water-powered clock is so cool! Not only does it run on water (or any electrolyte liquid), but it can even do bud-vase duty.

That’s good news, because not only will it tell time for two to three months on a single fill of the reservoir, but looking at flowers in the morning can help you feel better. It’s true. (You can read more about the Harvard study on flowers here.)

I love looking at new USB gadgets. It’s amazing the things you can get that run off of USB power right on your desk. You can get a vacuum cleaner, a lava lamp, a Christmas tree, even a robotic USB Stewie from Family Guy. (I’ve put together some of my favorites on this page at Squidoo, dedicated to great gadgets.) Seriously, who can live without this stuff?

But this is my new favorite! Look at how cute those USB sushi drives are! I love sushi, and I love gadgets. And who doesn’t need a portable memory stick? I bet these are much harder to lose than the plain old sticks.

These drives are available in a variety of flavors, including maguro, ebi, egg, maki, and more. Prices are $65 and up per piece, but they are calorie-free, and they never spoil! Awesome!

Here is a photo of what I did this afternoon. We had a big snow/ice/wind event this weekend, so even church was cancelled. I don’t mind winter weather, as long as I don’t have to drive on ice. Besides, I needed to make a Christmas gift for someone, so I came up with this. It is fresh and fruity, and makes me think of sunshine and citrus — exactly the opposite of today’s weather! I used all kinds of beads, including fire-polished faceted Czech glass, peridot gem chips, clear quartz chips, and cathedral beads. I love the way it turned out. It’s a bit heavy with all that glass, but boy, does it sparkle! Do you like it?

This is my latest geek design: “Lorem ipsum…” Lots of people won’t understand the humor of this one, but if you are someone who routinely builds or uses web site templates and such, you’ll recognize the familiar dummy text. I thought it would be funny to put it on shirts and stuff, so here it is. Maybe this would look great on your office wall. Or maybe it would make the perfect gift for a certain someone. Enjoy!
