I found out this morning that one of my Squidoo pages has been awarded "Lens of the Day!" I'm so excited. What a nice way to start the day. The winning lens is called How to dispose of batteries properly, and it has lots of information on batteries, recycling, and switching to rechargeables. If your home is full of gadget geeks like mine is, you probably go through lots of batteries, too. That was what inspired me to make this page. I hope you find it informative! :-) And while we're at it, GeekMomMashup has been awarded two other honors from fellow bloggers. I'm always pleasantly surprised to find out that people enjoy visiting here, and I'm very grateful for these awards. Thank you, thank you, thank you! The Sweet Home Blogger award came to me (twice!) from Nodin's Nest and Boutique Flair, and the Arte y Pico award came from The Modern Historian.

GeekMomMashup is now being displayed on Alltop, the “digital magazine rack” of the Internet. Yaay! The Alltop team selects the best sites, regardless of whether they are big or small, and loves to find hidden gems. I'm flattered that they like my little nugget of geeky goodness. Thanks, Alltop!
