Ingenious jewelry combines tech and style

by GeekMom on November 15, 2008

These tech-chic pendants are called “Silicon Gallies,” and they’re the brilliant creation of Capitola Girl. She takes used computer keys and turns them into clever jewelry, featuring initials or special key combinations.

I love this CTRL-Z (undo) pendant. The only thing that would make it better would be “Apple-Z.”

Check these out if you’re looking for a cool gift for a geek-chica! You can choose your letter, in silver or black. Handmade, recycled, and pretty!

nifty! i will have to check that out!

Mommy always buys one thing for herself, wraps it, outs it under the tree from Santa. My hubby is always curious “who’s that from?” “Its from Santa Silly!”
he can’t argue with that, there’s kids near by! :)

OMG, these are super awesome. I must have one, but will have to wait a bit. I think everyone who owns a blog or considers themselves a techi should definitely invest in this cutie. Something to keep with you when the computer not around. Oh, when is that (lol). Beautiful!

I like that idea too. I wore my portable memory as a necklace. No one really noticed my trend setting fashion. But I think that just shows that my usual fashion sense isn’t getting the attention of Vogue any time soon.

I have several dead keyboards hanging around because I’ve wanted to make jewlery out of the keys. I really need to get on this!

Yeah, that’s pretty awesome. But the d20 necklace over at thinkgeek.com is MUCH cooler!
