Have you seen these movie trailer birth announcements?!

by GeekMom on July 17, 2008

If you haven't seen this new video birth announcement, you should check it out. I can't embed the video, so you'll have to go watch it over there, but it's a brilliant take on the whole birth announcement concept! A bit pricey, but definitely a unique way to give your Offspring v.0.1 some geek cred from the start. I'm not getting a commission for this or anything, but if you're going to order one of these, you might as well use the (case-sensitive) 20% off coupon code (GeekMomMashup20) the nice movie trailer guys gave me. Have fun storming the castle! (Can you name the movie? It's one of my all-time favorites!)

I know that quote! The Princess Bride, one of my all time favorites too :)

RollerKaty beat me to it, but its one of my all time favorites too.

In my IT department you often hear Inigo Montoya’s “I do not think it means what you think it means. ” line around the office when trying to decipher feature requests that don’t make sense.

(repeated soft chanting) Build that they need, not what they ask for…

No voice over? I’m disappointed!

@Erica: you’re right. That would definitely make this totally awesome. (cue deep male voice) “In a world… of milk and diapers… one unlikely hero… spits up on Grandma!”

@RollerKaty @JD: I could go for a nice “MLT” right about now…

I so wish I could have another baby just to have one of these made! That was so cool. I agree with Erica though…the voice over would have been the perfect touch to an already great product!

Okay if I had another child I would get one of these for sure. Having said that I will pass this on to the couple father to be(s) I know.

Every morning as my son leaves for school with my hubby on his way to work, I tell them to find a reason to smile and laugh, followed by “have fun storming the castle guys!” Now, my son will say that to hubby and I as we go out for an evening. I love that quote!

WELCOME! I can't teach you how to monetize your blog, but I can offer you some mostly intelligent conversation, moderately geeky tech talk, very funny mom stories, with the occasional rant thrown in for sanity. I'm so glad you're here!
