Perfect pillow for laptop lounging

by GeekMom on July 2, 2008

geek cushionWell, my Dashing Man in Brown (okay, I may have a bit of a shopping crush on my UPS guy) brought me a very special delivery today. My new “baby.” It’s a MacBook! I’m getting it all configured according to my personal preferences, and I love it already!

So, I know I’m going to be spending lots of quality time with my new MacBook. On the couch, in the car, in bed. But you know how it is when you’re trying to get comfortable with a laptop. Sometimes it can be a real pain in the neck and back.

This cushion looks like the perfect solution to that problem. It’s being called the “lazy geek’s cushion.” I take exception to the “lazy” part, because even though I look like I’m not doing anything, I’m constantly running marathons in my mind! Sure, not all of my thinking is productive (obsessive-compulsive brain buzz), but it’s always busy!

Well, I might just have to add this “busy geek’s cushion” to my wish list. If you have any other tips for alleviating geek-strain and laptop-related aches and pains, let me know. Cheers!

I have the iCurve laptop stand and the Microsoft (gasp!) wireless keyboard and mouse for my MacBook Pro. The iCurve elevates the screen and the Microsoft keyboard is one of those curvy ergonomic ones. It’s not the one with the hump, so it wasn’t a huge adjustment.

The “Lazy Geek Cushion” looks like a great idea. I often prop myself up on pillows like that while reading in bed.

I use both a MacBook and an iMac………I don’t understand how anyone that used a Mac could ever use a windows pc.
Have fun with your new toy and thanks for the info on that pillow, might have to seriously look into that.

I’m glad you guys like it! I was using the MacBook in bed last night, and it did not take long for my neck to get all tight and tired. And by the way, this isn’t my first Mac. Sorry for the confusion. I’ve always been a Mac girl, but I was considering the Asus eee PC and the MacBook recently. Asus nearly lured me into the shop with its tiny size and solid-state hard drive.

My first Mac was a PowerBook with a huge 80 MB hard drive. Yes, 80 MB! And a grayscale display. It’s still around here somewhere. :-)
