Sexy new model bares all in iMac campaign

by GeekMom on April 28, 2008

Sorry for the unnecessarily titillating title, but look at this machine! The new model iMac is now available, and it's a beauty! new iMac

You have to admit, it's easy on the eyes

I love my current iMac (now "old"), and I don't really need a new computer, but I want this one anyway. It has the same slim, all-in-one design as the previous iMac. All of the guts of the machine are hidden behind the beautiful screen, and there's no external box to deal with.

Plus, it has brains

The iMac comes pre-installed with the iLife suite of applications, including photo organization and editing software, movie-making and DVD-creating software, and a music composition program. It also has a built-in iSight camera for capturing photo booth style funny faces, making video blog entries, and video conferencing with friends and family.

And a great personality

The thing I love most about the iMac is that it's so easy to use. It works right out of the box, and it recognizes and plays with most of my peripherals without any extra setup or drivers. That goes for my printer, scanner, USB piano keyboard, bluetooth phone, digital camera, etc. I haven't had that kind of experience with any of the Windows PCs I've used.

Want to see more?

See the official site for more iMac photos and technical information. And hey, stop drooling. :-)

I’m still waiting for them to bring out a laptop just like their little slim number, but with the iphone technology. So it won’t have a keyboard. It will have a VIRTUAL keyboard, like the iphone. So it will effectively have 2 screens. Think of the possibilities! If it isn’t weird to type on (humans by nature like the feedback a button-push gives us), then I would get one.

Then I could tell my great great great great great great great grandkids that *I* was one of the first people to type on an MacbookTouch :)

Apple makes you want the new stuff. They’re very good at that. On the flip side, I’m still very happy with my 2 year old MacBook Pro. It’ll remain a very useable machine for at least another year or two.

It’s loverly! Although I prefer the macbook. Big news for us Canadians - it was confirmed today that the iPhone is finally - legally - coming to Canada! Sadly there is no date yet. Just the promise of “Sometime this year”…ugh!

purty…. I love macs. I’ve never had a problem working on either platform, but macs are just so much lovlier and fun to play with. alas, we just recently bought a mac laptop and still have our “old” imac just like you, so the chance of getting one of these new beauties is slim…

I so love my (also older) iMac. I’m actually amazed at how many people have ‘made the switch’ lately. Of course, there are also a lot of PC lovers, and they make a lot of good points as well. Me? I’m a lifelong convert now …
