Stuff you don’t know about me
Hello, friends. First, I must thank you for your patience and support while I dealt with my hosting problem this weekend. As you can see, the problem has been solved, at least for now. I strive to keep my site clean, safe, and fast-loading, and am continually making improvements toward those goals (like the new theme?). I won't bore you with additional details right now. :-)
In other news, I've been tagged by Jolene, for the Seven Weird or Unique Things About Me meme. Here we go!
- I love to put peanut butter, applesauce, and maple syrup, on my pancakes and waffles.
- I'm terribly afraid of heights. I freeze up and can't move. For this reason, I don't like stairs with spaces between the steps. Yikes!
- I used to be allergic to red food dye, which would cause me to break out in hives. No cherry Kool-Aid, popsicles, or Twizzlers for me.
- I am a darn good pianist.
- As long as I'm bragging, I was also valedictorian of my high school class.
- I'm just 5 feet tall. I can only touch the ground with my toes when I sit in this chair.
- I went to Space Camp in junior high, and loved every minute of it. But you already know I'm nerdy like that.

[...] normally don’t do memes but Heather over at Geek Mom Mashup tagged me with a short and easy one. Since I have a lot of research to do before my next longish [...]
I know about the not-being-able-to-touch-the-ground-except-with-my-toes thing because I’m five-foot, too. I wish being a good pianist came along with being short. I envy you that talent.
Nice blog! I just came across it for the first time.
Welcome back!!!! I was sorry to read of your troubles on the Entrecard forum and had noticed a number of times when I came to visit that your site was down. Glad to see you’re back again.
Saw your tweet about spiders … the other day I was on my Mac and this black hairy spider was tormenting me. Kept getting inside my clear drawers at my left and staring at me, jumping from Skeletor to Maleficent to Captain Sparrow and back again, and even inside my glass paperclip and bead containers. (I’m not making this up.) Finally went all the way up to the ceiling to drop down to just above my head and dangle there. This was more than I could take, so I carefully netted him/her with a tissue and evicted the bugger, left folded up in the tissue on the front porch. *g*
Not 10 minutes later, I catch something out of the corner of my eye, and it is this black hairy spider dropping down from the ceiling near my right shoulder AGAIN! I’m not afraid of spiders, but this one creeped me out, and I called my hubby to put it outside. (Neither of us are smooshers.)
Just wanted to share! Enjoying your Tweets.
Wait a minute…you put peanut butter, applesauce and maple syrup on your pancakes at the same time? All three of those things on your pancakes? We have peanut allergies and have to do Sunbutter instead of peanut butter around here. I LOVE Sunbutter on my pancakes. And I have to drink chocolate soymilk with them.
@Peapod Yes! At the same time! It’s delicious. If we happen to have fresh strawberries, I like those instead of the applesauce. Yummy…
@Carla: Welcome, and thank you!
@XP: Yes, my hubby saved me from having one drop down right on my head yesterday. It must be spider season or something, but it’s terrible. They’re all over the place, and they’re not very afraid of me! I wish they would run away and hide.
@Lightening: Thanks for hanging in and stopping by after the storm was over.
My husband can’t wait until our son is old enough for space camp. It’s like one geek living vicariously through what he hopes will be another one. (I think I can say that, because I’m a geek, too.)
Space Camp!! I want to go to space camp!
Glad you got time to do it!! Guess I missed your issues while I was moving!
I couldn’t imagine being short! I’m 5′8″ and I get annoyed if I have to grab a stool or chair, or get the hubby because I can’t reach something. It would drive me nuts(yes, even though I’m already there) if I had to do it all the time. Soon I’ll be getting my son to get things for me LOL, he’s only 10 but already 5′1″.
[...] too surprised that having been tagged by my friend JD over at Techfun with Geek Mom Mashup’s Seven Weird Things About Me meme I am NOT in fact going to paste in and follow the instructions. Instead I decided to post [...]
