Here is something my kindergartener said to me recently. It made me laugh, so I wanted to share it.
GeekBoy: “Mommy, do you know how I could tell the baby was awake?”
GeekMom: “How did you know, Punkin?”
GeekBoy: “I heard her through the baby ther-monitor.”

That’s priceless! I love the unique family “languages” that develop when the kids start to conversate on a natural level with their parents.
Hey, spell-check says I’m making up the word “conversate”. I must be younger than I thought!

When my son was around three, we were watching Ninja Turtles together. He looks at me all polite and plainly says
“hand me the mote please”
then looks down at the remote control in my hand.

Priceless.
The only word I’m getting right now is SISHHHH, SISHHHH which is pretty darned good given that my daughter isn’t a year old. She loves to watch the FISH in the aquarium
